Margaret Audsley Competition

The Bi annual Margaret Audsley competition was set up in memory of our late president, who did so much within our guild, to promote all our disciplines but especially weaving.

The committee decided on “Keepsake” as the theme for this, our first competition.

The award was presented to Joey Freeman, which is fitting, as she has stepped into Margarets shoes, and has been instrumental in our continued weaving group activities and workshops. Joey is always very generous with sharing
her knowledge and helping us with any problems we encounter in our endeavours.

Joey wove a very fine piece of cloth with which she covered a photo album. The photos within were of Margarets weaving samples together with explanations of the weave etc.
